PLASMA ELECTS 2012-2013 BOARD MEMBERS

The Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America membership has elected the 2012-2013 Board of Directors.  Current Board member, Leo Murray of AMPRO (Tampa, FL) was elected as President-Elect for a one-year term.  Clifford Parks of Outdoor Lighting and Energy in Carrboro, NC and Shiv Sudan of Rico Electric in Mississaua, Ontario, join the PLASMA Board of Directors for a two-year term each.  Murray, Parks and Sudan join President, Joe Marek of Litech Lighting (Columbus, OH), Past President, Thomas A. Phillips of Efficient Lighting and Maintenance (Brookfield, CT), and Directors, Don Nielsen of Light Doctor (Mountlake Terrace, WA) and Bill Shank of Lighting Technologies (Powder Springs, GA) to form the 2012-2013 PLASMA Board of Directors.

PLASMA is a national alliance of independently-owned service providers offering regional and national clients the highest level of service, workmanship and expertise for all of their lighting and signage needs, anytime, anywhere.  PLASMA’s mission is to provide locally owned lighting and sign management service providers with the ability, confidence and operational support to expand their business by collectively providing the highest level of service, workmanship and expertise to national and regional companies.

2012 ANNUAL MEETING-REGISTER TODAY!

Register today for PLASM's Annual Meeting!  Join PLASMA in Omaha, Nebraska March 27-29, 2012.  The entire Annual Meeting is open to all Active members and their employees. Associate members are invited to attend the Welcome Dinner, Wednesday’s meeting, the Tour of Superior Lighting and the Wednesday dinner. Associate members will not be able to register for the Thursday portion of the Annual Meeting.

Environmental Lighting Service, Lumatech Services, Power Distributors and Vista Universal all recently accepted an invitation to become members of Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America (PLASMA).  With the four new member companies, PLASMA now offers complete lighting service in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, the entire state of Arkansas as well as multiple cities in California including San Francisco, San Jose and Los Angeles.

2012 Meeting Dates Announced

PLASMA has announced the 2012 meeting dates.

The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held  March 27-29 in Omaha, Nebraska.  Superior Lighting Inc. will host this event for Active and Associate Members.  Associate members are invited to attend the events on March 27 and 28.  The March 29 meeting is open to Active Members only.  Registration details coming soon.

The 2012 Fall Meeting will be held August 21-23 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Lighting Maintenance & Servicec, Inc. will host this event for Active Members only.  Please check back for registration information.

The Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America membership elected two new board members at the 2011 Annual Meeting.  Don Nielsen of Light Doctor in Mountlake Terrance, WA and Bill Shank of Lighting Technologies in Powder Springs, GA, join the PLASMA Board of Directors for a two-year term each.  Nielsen and Shank join President, Thomas A. Phillips of Efficient Lighting and Maintenance (Brookfield, CT), President-Elect, Joe Marek of Litech Lighting (Columbus, OH) and Directors, Jami Hall of Stones River Electric (Nashville, TN), Cary Mendelsohn of Imperial Lighting (Chicago, IL) and Leo Murray of Ampro Power Solutions (Tampa, FL), to form the 2011 PLASMA Board of Directors.

LITECH LIGHTING HOSTS PLASMA’S ANNUAL MEETING IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

The Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America (PLASMA) held its Annual Meeting in Columbus, OH, March 29-31, 2011, where more than 35 professionals from the lighting and sign management industry gathered.  Litech Lighting & Signs in Columbus, OH hosted the meeting which included a tour of its facility and a review of the local lighting practices and projects in the lighting and sign industry.  Litech Lighting has been providing dependable lighting solutions in the Central Ohio area for more than 15 years.  Joe Marek, owner of Litech Lighting, is currently on the PLASMA Board of Directors as President-Elect/Treasurer.

The PLASMA membership will hold its Fall Meeting in Tampa, FL, October 4-6, 2011 hosted by Ampro Power Solutions.

PLASMA Member Honored with International Award

Randy Breske, Vice President of Stay-Lite Lighting was honored with the Lumina Award by the interNational Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO).  Breske received his second Lumina Award for his special merit, commitment, loyalty and dedication to the leadership of NALMCO and project recognition that benefits the lighting industry.

 “NALMCO has benefited greatly from the hard work, innovation and creativity of our 2010 Lumina Award recipients.  Associations like NALMCO rely heavily on members to volunteer their time for projects and association functions.  Occasionally a few of these members go above and beyond the tasks assigned to them.  This is absolutely the case with Randy Breske” Jim Frank, NALMCO President said.
